Annika is going for her 5th win in the Samsung Championships this weekend.  Talk about dominating an event!  Michelle Wie makes her debut as well and it should be quite a circus with the newbie and all the veterans duking it out.  Let’s see who gets the most attention. 

What would really be funny is if Michelle were way back in the pack and still getting tons of  TV coverage for every shot.  Now that would be media bias.  My call would be a close race all the way to the end, similar to last weekend’s Tiger/Daly shoot out.  Although we would all pray for a more exciting ending.  Anyway, here are some particulars on the Samsung event starting today.

Oh, notice the difference in purses between the PGA and the LPGA.  Tiger pocked a cool $1.3 million for his win last weekend and the winner of this one makes a measly $212,000.  If Michelle Wie plays well over the next few years and wins, you can bet those purses will go higher.  No one will be complaining then I’ll bet.
