Wie and Sorenstam Favorites at US Open
Thursday, June 29th, 2006Two of top women players in the world – Annika Sorenstam and Michelle Wie – will battle it out this weekend at the Women’s Open at the Newport Country Club in Newport, RI. Both are still tops in the world, but neither can seem to win these days. Sorenstam has not won a tournament since the Master Card Classic, and Wie has experienced a few meltdowns going into the final holes of some major tournaments lately.
No doubt that Michelle could “totally relate” when watch Mickelson blow the men’s US Open recently. At least she knows she is not alone and it can happen to anyone. That’s the cruelty of the game at times. Michelle still seems to be taking it in stride however. Only time will tell if she makes it a habit.
Here are the dates and times for viewing. If Annika and Wie are in the running going into Sunday, you can bet the rating will soar.
