Check out this close-up shot of Michelle Wie’s grip recently at the European Masters.  You would think there would be some rules as to how much jewelry you can wear while playing in a tournament – especially when you are playing with the men.  Just the light flashes from these diamonds alone could really screw up your shot. 

If you haven’t heard, Michelle is teeing it up with the men this weekend in the European Masters. As usual, the criticism gets heated when Michelle does this kind of thing.  This time she is taking the criticism head-on and had this to say:

"There are going to be some people that aren’t happy with me playing in men’s tournaments," said Wie.

"I am not just doing it for the support I get, I am doing it for myself and my own self happiness. I love playing men’s events and the challenge. I feel an adrenaline rush when I play these events and it is a lot of fun," Wie said.
