Is Michelle Wie the most underrated golfer?
Everyone in the media is now bashing Michelle Wie. Some are saying that she may never win a major tournament. Is she now underrated? I think she will probably win one major in the next 10 years. What do you think?

I think you mean overrated. This is one of the most asked topics on this board. In my opinion she has a wealth of POTENTIAL and has won or placed high in Public Links Championship. That takes talent. She has also placed highly in the women’s majors. However, she has never WON a LPGA or PGA event. Sponsors love her because she brings a lot of attention to their events, but eventually that will wane if she doesn’t win. However, remember she is ONLY a teenager and has lots and lots of years to improve to become a championship golfer. It’s tough to perform under all that scrutiny of both the media and public. Just listen to any of her interviews on camera and you will see that she is still just a teenager in both her speech and actions. A very WEALTHY teenager but still a teenager in all aspects.
No i think she is way over rated! She had all these people saying she would be the greatest ever but she hasn’t won a tournament yet.
I think Wie will probobly win 4 or so majors in the next 10 years. She hit a bad spot right now with a hurt wrist. It’s not her fault. She’s young and has a lot of talent and once she recovers from this injury she will bounce back strong. She will be around for more than 10 years though. Remember she is still only a teenager.
No way she’s more than over-rated, it’s pathetic, she was supposed to be this great phenom and she’s yet to win a tourney, Sam Woods will win a major before she does

one thing she needs to do is say “dad i i love you, but stay out of my ‘golf’ life”……also she just needs to let her injury heel and make a go of it next season

Overrated at first but she deserved it. At that young of an age and to do what she did in the majors is great stuff.
Fast forward to now, she just needs to grow up and make better decisions. She shouldn’t keep WD because of course it hurts her rep.
I believe she will be number one once she leaves her teacher. 10 years? I think she will easily win 5 to 10 majors. She has a chance to be the Tiger of the LPGA.
Of course I can be wrong. I thought Gulbis would win a long time ago but she has the same problem as Wei and that their Father’s.

absolutly not. i dont like her at all. part of its jealousy because im 15 and am only a 12 handicap but she isnt smart about how she plays. she plays with the men when she cant even win with the women. she needs to relax and stop being full of herself and play in womens tournaments the way she should
