Once Again Michelle Wie is DEAD LAST in a Golfing Event?
baqq2cali asked:
After 54 holes of golf at the LPGA Championship, Michelle Wie is dead last on the leaderboard, having just barely made the cut. Ok people, enough is enough — stop defending her by saying she’s only 17. Morgan Pressel is only a year older and won her first Majopr earlier this year. Meanwhile Nan On Min, another 18 year old playing in only her 6th professional event, leads the LPGA Championship by one stroke after 54 holes. Michelle Wie is absolutely pathetic.
‘Zasu’ is right — every golfer does have ups and downs … but why does it seem that Michelle Wie is always down; especially considering all the talent she supposedly has. Missing the cut and/or coming in dead last at every event you enter for the last 18 months is more than an up and down situation — being down and out or out of your element would be a more acurate description.

Every golfer has ups and downs – bar none.
I agree. I dont know what the hype is around her. I think she is overrated.
Wie is being pulled in too many directions. By overbearing parents, by corporate sponsors, by the media, by the fans.
No doubt the young lady has a lot of talent. But the buzz around her was so great that she obviously believes a lot of it.
Wie needs to forget the men’s tour, needs to forget the “me-first” attitude, and get back to the practice range.
Some really fine young LPGA players right now. Pressel, Ochoa, several solid Korean challengers. And the old guard is still strong (Sorenstam, Webb). Wie either starts working on her game (rather than her gamesmanship) or she becomes just another lurker (hanging around waiting for the occasional shot at the top of the leaderboard).
What else is new?
Well somebody has to be last…..might as well be her.
I bet Nike would like some money back !
Is there a question in there? Tell us how you really feel?
Personally, I think she brings a freak-show quality to the PGA and LPGA that is fun to watch. Next debacle: The PGA John Deer Classic in 5 weeks. I predict another episode of “heat exhaustion” to avoid carding a 100.
I can shoot an 88, where’s my million dollar contract?
